The Home Cinema

The brief was to transform a dated cinema room that came with the house. The existing system and room had not aged well and after a survey was done to take room measurements a render was produced to show what was possible.

The existing room was stripped back to the walls with all electrical items removed. The Resi AV team installed new space framework to conceal the new speaker system changing the audio setup from the standard 5.1 configuration to the current 7.1.4 Dolby atmos configuration.

A new AV rack was designed and built and housed in a custom bench unit at the rear of the room. The existing KNX lighting system was stripped back, and the room now features a Lutron RA2 lighting system completely changing the feel and look of this now stunning home cinema.

Once all the new equipment was installed the walls were then covered in stretched acoustically transparent fabric and the room was commissioned and handed over to the client in eleven days.
